Celiac is a serious autoimmune disorder in which the body actually attacks a critical part of its own digestive system whenever it is exposed to gluten, a protein in wheat, rye, barley, oats and triticale.  If left undiagnosed, celiac disease can lead to serious health complications including certain cancers, so if you think you may be at risk it’s critical to get tested -- before you try a gluten-free diet.  Here are some key facts about celiac disease, along with resources to help you learn more.
