Soothing Hot Carob Soothing Hot Carob LPHJ Kitchen
If you love hot chocolate but don't tolerate cocoa well, try this flavorful drink using carob powder instead! It's very unique yet delicious and is also AIP friendly!

  • Ingredients:
    4 oz coconut milk
4 oz coconut water *see note below*
    1 tsp granulated ginger
    1/4 tsp ground turmeric
    1 tsp carob powder
    1 tsp raw honey
  • Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine milk, water, ginger, turmeric and carob. Heat until just boiling, stirring frequently to prevent scorching. Pour into a large mug and stir in honey.

*You can use all coconut milk if desired. I like adding a little coconut water as it provides natural electrolytes which can be good if you've had a rough spell.
