About Us: Owner and Founder Hilary Brown’s journey began when a Naturopathic physician revealed her numerous food
intolerances in 2002. The typical American diet was pretty much off-limits to Hilary, which turned out to be a great gift.
Physical and mental ailments she had struggled with most of her life disappeared with a change in diet. She became
a passionate researcher of health and found that EVERYTHING is connected. The health of our soil, water and air is
directly related to our own health. After attending Natural Gourmet Cookery School in New York, Hilary became a farmer’s
apprentice with the Growing Growers program. In 2005, she opened a first-to-the-market sustainable fast food restaurant
in Lawrence, Kansas called Local Burger. Demand for her culinary creations was so high, that she decided to distribute
her products in the retail market. Hilary is so grateful to friends, family, suppliers, staff, distributors and retailers for their
commitment and investment in our products.
