Special ingredients:no dried fruits, no fresh / raw fruits that don't get cooked by the end of the recipe, no fermented / pickled foods, no meat / poultry, no alcohol
Just right for...:Great for kids, Crowds/parties, Comfort food, Quick & easy
Top 8 allergens?:gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, shellfish-free
Active/prep time:0-15 minutes
Total time (inc active/prep):15 minutes or less
Substitution ideas:If you're nut free, try substituting a handful of chia and hemp seeds sprinkled over the Daiya cheese to get a similar crunch and flavour as the Nuttzo nut'n'seed butter.
You may also want to ditch the jalapeno if serving to small mouths -- at least, if those mouths haven't grown up on chili peppers!
Serving suggestions:Serve with tortilla soup, or for a fun twist on a warm day, with a tall smoothie or a glass of almond milk. (Both the kid in me -- and my students and younger clients -- love these paired with a banana-chocolate shake, which is dairy-free, of course).
