Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Today we are talking granola! I love granola. It adds the perfect crunch to yogurt or serves as a quick filling snack.
There are a lot of gluten-free granolas on the market these days so we would see if we could find one that stood up against non-gluten-free granola. I picked up two gluten-free granola, Udi’s Vanilla Almond and Kind Peanut Butter Whole Grain Clusters, as well as our non-gluten-free comparison, Nature Valley Oats & Honey (don’t worry I didn’t let anyone with Celiac Disease or gluten-intolerance eat it!).
I asked six random students to take part in a blind taste test and tell me what looked the best and what tasted the best.
Spoiler alert – Kind won the looks contest and Nature Valley won the taste contest. I was definitely hoping to have a gluten-free sweep but, alas, Nature Valley’s granola won the taste test due to fact that it was the crunchiest.
So, what did I learn? Taste Guru is on the lookout for the crunchiest, best-tasting gluten-free granola. I am positive it’s out there and I plan on finding it!
