This recipe for pasta bolognese is really simple and uses what I had left over in the fridge, so you can easily swap out the pepper, spring onions and celery for any other vegetables you like, although I do think celery works really well in this. To keep it more traditional you can use spaghetti but any gluten-free pasta is fine. Click the link below for the full recipe.

This is a really filling dish and great for entertaining as the recipe makes enough for 3 or 4 people. I use a hand blender to make the sauce but don’t worry if you don’t have one, you can just chop everything up really small – it’s still delicious!

Dukkah is a great way to add loads of flavour to other foods without having much affect on the calorie content.

Something to fight the mid-afternoon sugar cravings!

This easy recipe is great when you've got a crowd coming because the seeds and the carrots can be prepared in advance, and then the carrots can go in to bake while your guests arrive.  Serve your seeds on the side if you think one of your guests has a spice or seed allergy, or for kids with a picky palate.

Thanksgiving at our house just wouldn't be the same without my mom's acorn squash - decadently sweet, and ridiculously simple to make. Although it takes a little while in the oven, it's easy enough to throw together that it works for workday dinner as well.  And like most things drenched in maple syrup, a pretty easy sell for the kids, too!

Looking for a way to make a salmon salad 'fit in' to a harvest table, we found ourselves swapping out summer fruits for sweetly rich roasted butternut squash.  This salad takes a little time in the oven but very little hands-on prep is required and it can be served either warm or cold, making it a versatile option as an elegant and light dinner entree or a crowd-pleasing party side.  And with its simple dressing it's gluten-, dairy-, soy- and nut-free!

A striking and elegant presentation of a delicious light salad - especially when you happen to have over-sized cucumbers growing in your vegetable garden!

After months of listening to my son pine for the meatballs he could no longer have on his newly dairy-, gluten- and egg-free (among other things) diet, I finally pulled out the mixing bowl and got to work.  These meatballs are far heartier than our previous go-to brand (from a certain furniture store that will remain nameless) and pack well in a thermos for lunch.  Better yet, our joy at a proper meatball spawned a series of "take-off's" that are great for grownups or even as hors d'oerves at your next party.  Check 'em out!

These lamb burgers taste almost like kofta kebabs - but without the allergens!  So tasty, a bun and ketchup would be a distraction so we like to serve them on a simple salad instead.
