Getting ready to hibernate!

The polar vortex is finally beginning to loosen its grip on us all - and it's inspired us to go into our virtual burrow and hibernate!

You may have noticed that we've been pretty quiet these last few weeks - but we haven't been sleeping!  After taking some much-needed family time over the holidays, we took all the feedback we've gotten from our members over the last several months into our "cave" and got to work on creating the next version of freedible.  We can't wait to share it with all of you!

So if you drop in some time in the next couple of days and see that freedible's site has gone off-line, you'll know why.  And then we hope you'll come back once we come out of hibernation again - ready for spring!

Happy Eating,
Cheryl

AntiWheatGirl isn't just one of freedible's most active bloggers - her make-no-apology writing on life with food restrictions has made her a featured blogger on Huffington Post as well!  Read her most recent submission - and leave a comment to let her know what you think and cheer her on as she spreads awareness for us all!

Blogger Sprue Story has done it again - she's taken on one of the 'third rail' issues of celiac disease, food allergies and other medically-driven diet restrictions: the danger that they can cross over into eating disorders.  See her take - and leave her a comment to let her know what you think!
Mast Cell Activation Syndrome Madness

It's just the kind of carefully-researched blog post we've come to expect from The Patient Celiac - this time on the ever-complicated and still little-understood mast cell activation syndrome (something my own family has come to know all too well!).  My personal thanks to her for bringing this important information to our community!

Did you see our Reindeer Awards?

As we counted down to the new year, we announced our 1st Annual Reindeer Awards - our way of recognizing five members who went above and beyond to help us build the freedible community this year.  As a small token of our appreciation, we made them virtual award badges - which our holiday brand partners are backing up with real world treats!

Thank you to all who participated, and please join us in congratulating the winners and thanking our partners!
