What Does Independence Mean to You?: Freedible News

Our community exploded into action this weekend right along with the fireworks but the party's not over!  Up this week: don't miss our Twitter Party on Eating Out and Declare Your Independence from Food Restrictions on Pinterest!
Our campaign to Declare Your Independence from Food Restrictions on Instagram this weekend! This weekend we kicked off Declare Your Independence from Food Restrictions Month with a bang!

We were thrilled to welcome lots of new bloggers and Custom Eater members alike, and saw our first reviews!

Meanwhile, over on Instagram we were blown away by the creativity and obvious determination that food restrictions weren't going to constrain your fourth of July celebrations!  We've included some of our favorites below and on our site, but check out the whole campaign!

This week, we're taking the party to Pinterest, with an opportunity for you to show us what independence from your food restrictions mean to you - see below for details.  And to get you started, check out my blog post in which I tried to put into words a little of what it means to me.

Looking forward to seeing you on freedible - and in the meantime, happy eating!
pin your way to food restriction freedom!
Declare Your Independence from Food Restrictions on freedible, with Pinterest!

Pin Your Way to Freedom!

From now until July 24, create a pin-board on Pinterest with what independence from food restrictions means to you and you could win a basket of goodies valued at $100!

Include go-to recipes, restaurants that "get it", guides and infographics or your favorite brands - the only limit is your imagination.  Here's how to participate:

1.  Create a free Pinterest account if you don’t have one already.
2.  Create a new board and use the words “independence” and “food” in the title and “@freedible” in the board description.
3.  Pin freedible's Pinterest campaign badge onto your board and include “@freedible” somewhere in the comments.
4.  Add “pins” that show what having independence from your food restrictions means to you – see our site for some ideas to get you started!
5.  Make sure you include #customeater in the comments for each pin!

We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
